Thomas Lee RobinsonMarch 4, 1955 ~ July 27, 2016 (age 61)
Thomas L. Robinson, age 61, of Beloit Kansas sadly passed away peacefully on July 27, 2016 after an extended illness. Tom was born in Waukesha, Wisconsin on March 4, 1955. Son of Robert and Adris Robinson who proceeded him in death and welcomed him with open arms.
Tom graduated from Waukesha High School and entered the US ARMY soon thereafter. He formed many strong friendships with his army buddies and recently attended a reunion. Upon completion of his military service he went on to develop his culinary skills at Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC). After receiving his degree he started his career at various summer camp and restaurants in northern Wisconsin. He then came back to Waukesha to be head chef at the Depot Restaurant and partnered in a catering business. Here he met his wife Cathy and had a son Tim. After Waukesha he went to work various cities in Kansas which would be his final home.
Tom was always a free thinker, wonderful story teller and explorer in life. His active imagination and humor always made people laugh. He enjoyed hunting and fishing especially with family and friends. Trains were also his passion in life and chief mode of transportation when he came back to Wisconsin for visits.
His last city of residence was Beloit, Kansas where here he was employed and taught at a local tech college for numerous years. Tom's last employment was at Hillside Senior Living Facility where he greatly enjoyed cooking and socializing with the residents. He also was a regular patron at the downtown Eagles Club.
Tom is survived by his son Tim, of Milwaukee and granddaughter Kylie. He is also survived by his "udder brudder", Rob and wife Linda, Sister Barbara and her husband Jerry Stroter, Sister Patti Robinson Bell and sister Elly and husband David Mandell. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many close friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 11th from 4-7 p.m. at Schoen Funeral Home and Monuments. Funeral Services will be at the Funeral Home Friday August, 12th at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Elmira Cemetery, Beloit. Memorials to Solomon Valley Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #3507. Schoen Funeral Home and Monuments of Beloit is in charge of arrangements.
