Clifford Earl Vetter, 92, of Randall died Monday, August 17, 2020 at Resident Care Center, Beloit. Cliff was born September 24, 1927 to Reuben and Wilda (Treaster) Vetter on the family farm north of Solomon Rapids.

Cliff attended country school and graduated from Beloit High School in 1945. It was on August 20, 1950 that he married Nevada Beisner at her parents home in Natoma, KS. Four children were born to this union, Vickie, Elaine, Nancy, and Phil.

Cliff and Nevada moved to their farm home north of Randall and raised their family.

In his younger days, Cliff loved to ride horses and would tell stories about his brothers and him riding to school. His love was baseball and he talked about his teammates from Beloit and Glen Elder. Cliff was a farmer by heart with a cow/calf operation in his early years and then a cropland operation. As the children grew. He taught them to play baseball and went on short vacations. In later years he enjoyed attending grand-children and great grandchildren’s music programs, school plays, 4H, sports activities, and rodeo events. Cliff was a lifetime member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Beloit.

Cliff was preceded in death by his wife Nevada of 66 years, his parents, granddaughter Peggy Jean Peters, great-grandson Cayden Dunstan, brothers; Richard and Harry (Noel).

Those left to celebrate his life are children; Vickie (Scott) Fenner of Conway AR, Elaine (Daniel) Peters of Randall KS, Nancy (Bill) Buser of Jewell KS, Phil (Kristi) Vetter of Randall KS. Thirteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Elsie Vetter of Wahoo NE, brother-in-law Jim Paschal of Lindsborg KS, and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be at Schoen Funeral Home and Monuments Thursday, August 20th, from 5-7 p.m. with family present. Funeral at Zion Lutheran Church, Beloit on Friday, August 21st, 4 p.m.  with online streaming on the Zion Lutheran Church Facebook page. Interment to follow at St. John’s Cemetery. In Lieu of Flowers memorials may be made to St. John’s Cemetery Upkeep Association, Solomon Valley Hospice, Zion Lutheran Church.
