David Lynch

David L. Lynch, 67, passed away peacefully at his home south of Simpson, KS on May 10, 2022. He was born October 27, 1954 at Mitchell County Hospital to Edwin and Betty Lynch.

He was a 1972 graduate of Beloit High School and NCK Vo-Tech welding program before enlisting in the United States Army; he completed his military career as a Sergeant E5.

David married Patricia Reich while they were both stationed at Fort Sheridan, IL. To this union two children were born, Regina and David Patrick.

He provided for his family working as Human Resource Manager at Sunflower Manufacturing and PKM Steel. David followed in his grandfather’s footsteps both farming and serving as the Post Master at Simpson Post Office.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Grandparents Paul and Dorothea Grittman.

David is survived by his wife Patricia Lynch, his children Regina (Shawn) Lynch, David Patrick (Elizabeth) Lynch, his grandchildren Zane (Destiny) Jones, Winry Lynch, great granddaughter Leonna Jones and siblings Lynn (Lance) Brock and Mark Lynch.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 12 from 5-7 p.m. with family present at Schoen Funeral Home and Monuments. Funeral Service, Friday, May 13 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with interment to follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Mitchell Co. Kansas. Memorials may be made to Mitchell Co. Historical Society.
