Gary Wayne Peterson

September 4, 1951 — June 20, 2024

Gary Wayne Peterson was born to Roland and Mable (Hill) Peterson on September 4, 1951 in Beloit, Kansas. He departed this life on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Eskridge, Kansas where he had lived for the past 17 years.

They would also ride around in cars together. Gary worked at Kent Manufacturing in his youth. He loved to ride his bicycle everywhere. You would see him around town waving at everyone! He did not know a stranger. He lived under the Chautauqua Park bridge for many years.

After he left Beloit, Gary lived at Osawatomie until he moved to Eskridge. Gary would smash cans, play cards, go to rodeos and especially loved going to the Kansas City Royals baseball games. He had a special love of cheeseburgers, funnel cakes and ice cream.

Gary loved to write letters. He would write two or three a week. He had excellent penmanship.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Ivan, Kevin, Glen and Marilyn. Gary is survived by siblings John Peterson and Carolyn Blase, also many nieces and nephews.
