Jeffery L. Milholland

March 15, 1965 — November 1, 2022

Hoisington Formerly Glasco

On Tuesday, November 1st, 2022, Jeffery Lynn Milholland - a beloved son, husband, father, and friend - passed away at the age of 57.

Jeff was born on March 15th, 1965, to Morris Earl and Genevieve Margaret Milholland in Metaline Falls, Washington. After graduating from Beloit High School, Jeff got his certification in welding from North Central Kansas Technical College.

Jeff held multiple jobs throughout his life, starting as early as when he was a freshman in High School. From farm hand, to dairy farmer, to truck driver, to his most recent 20-year career as a diesel mechanic, Jeff was truly a jack of all trades. He was an incredibly hard-working man and brilliant mechanical mind.

In 1993, Jeff met Susan while they were out dancing at the Roper’s Dance Hall in Salina, Ks. Jeff asked Susan for a dance, and they were joined at the hip from then on. They went on to have two children, Kayn and Lane. His boys were the love of his life.

Jeff had many hobbies throughout his life. The biggest of these hobbies were working with horses and working on vehicles. From the time he was old enough to hop up on a horse's back, he was constantly riding, training, and caring for horses. He knew almost everything there was to know about horses. When it came to Jeff’s other hobby of working on vehicles, he was truly a master mechanic. Whether it was getting old cars up and running to go drive donuts in a field, building racecars and derby cars, or fixing up service trucks at work, Jeff knew the fix to just about any issue that may have arisen. Jeff always had so many plans for new inventions to use around the farm, projects to work on with his boys, and ideas for what neat contraption he could come up with next.

But of all of these plans that Jeff had, his most valuable plans were about how he was going to be there for others. He was always the kind of person who would be there to support others in their endeavors. He loved imparting wisdom on those who needed it the most and loved watching people grow and learn. He always put others first, and never expected anything in return.

Of all of the things Jeff loved to do, nothing was more cherished by him than the time he spent with his boys. He loved showing them how to hunt, fish, ride horses, and work on vehicles. He loved going camping with them and supporting them through Boy Scouts, eventually helping both of them achieve their Eagle Scout Ranks.

Jeff was preceded in death by his mother Genevieve, and is survived by his father Morris, wife Susan, his two sons Kayn and Lane, his sister Theresa, his bothers Gerry (Linda) and Tony (Frances), and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
