Jesse A. Vetter

September 13, 1996 — September 16, 2023

Lenexa (Formerly Randall)

Jesse Allan Vetter was born on September 13, 1996 to Philip and Kristi Vetter. He died September 16, 2023 at Clinton Lake. Jesse was raised on the family farm north of Randall. He attended Randall Elementary School through the 4th grade, then attended school in Beloit, graduating from Beloit High School in 2015.

He participated in 4-H and enjoyed photography and project talks – he loved explaining to people how things worked. He was always working on a book, even while planting beans in the tractor with the guidance system. In high school, Jesse excelled in the percussion section, playing drum set for school and church and being selected as the lone timpanist for the KMEA State Band. He participated in cross country, only going out for the sport his senior year so he could run with his 7th grade sister, Abby. He medaled in State Forensics, having qualified several times, including one hilarious performance in Improvised Duet Acting with his sister, Brooke. Jesse earned his Black Belt in Taekwondo through Dustin Dougherty’s classes in Beloit. He was also a member of the local band “Scattershot Lane” where he played bass and sang like Johnny Cash.

After high school, Jesse attended the University of Kansas, playing in the drumline, volleyball band, and bass guitar in the basketball band. He later attended the Cleveland School for Chiropractic Medicine in Overland Park.

Jesse always loved babies. When his sisters were born, he wanted to comfort them by singing to them and holding them. When he was older, he would volunteer to watch the nursery during VBS. Most recently, his beautiful daughter, Juindalyn, was born in 2020. She always put a smile on his face.

Preceding Jesse in death are: his Paternal Grandparents, Cliff and Nevada Vetter; Aunt Vickie Fenner; and cousins Peggy Peters and Cayden Dunstan.

Survivors include: his parents, Phil and Kristi Vetter; sister Brooke Shirley (husband Jace); sister Abby Vetter; his daughter Juindalyn Vetter; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
