Judith Ann (Mayers) Johnson

Judith Ann Johnson (Mayers), 75 of Beloit, Ks., was born July 5, 1944 to Cecil and Sophia Mayers. She passed away at Downs Care and Rehabilitation Center on July 19, 2019.

Judy graduated from Downs in 1962. After graduation she attended Dodge City Community College and received her LPN license, she was proud that her license was current up until her passing. On Feb. 17, 1966 she married Marvin Johnson. To this union 3 children were Born. Marvin and Judy lived in Greeley, Co., where Tyler and Justin were born, moved to Smith Center, Ks., then Osborne where Amanda was born and many years were spent living there.

Judy grew up on the family farm west of Downs but always attended the St. Aloysius Catholic Church of Osborne. Later in life she moved to Beloit and joined St. John’s the Baptist Catholic Church. Judy’s religion was very important to her and carried her through her final days.

She is survived by Children Justin Dean of Hays, Ks., Amanda Gail Burda (Chris) of Downs, Ks. Grandchildren Madison Burda(Kaleb) and Cody Burda, Great Grandchild Carter Conway. Sisters Mary Storer, June Cady, Edith Boyd and Linda Miner.

She is preceded in death by her Parents, and child Tyler Earl Johnson.

Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home Monday, July 22 with a vigil/rosary service to follow at 7 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday July 23 at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery, in Osborne.

Memorials may be given to Solomon Valley Hospice and Downs Care and Rehabilitation Center.
