Leonard LeRoy Bowles

Leonard "Lennie" Leroy Bowles, 63, was born Feb. 27, 1956 to Leonard and Mary Jo Bowles in Beloit, and went to heaven, Dec. 22, 2019. He was a lifelong truck driver and comedian. If you ever met him you would never forget him. Leonard was a member of the Christian Church in Downs.

Survivors include: his wife of 43 years, Susan; daughters, Shelly Callahan (Lance), and Becky Wyman (Forrest); sons, Aaron (Courtney), and Chris (Kay); siblings, Mike Bowles, Mark Bowles (Nancy), and Kathy Bowles; grandchildren, Logan, Conner, Riley, Chloe, Mia, Ella, Christian, and Oliver. They loved him dearly and were the light of his life. He was loved by many and will be missed deeply. Preceded in death by: his parents; brothers; Don Anderson, and Harry Bowles; and sisters, Judy Anderson and Mary Ruth.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26, at Schoen Funeral Home and Monuments, Beloit.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, at Prairie Grove Cemetery, Cawker City. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
