Wanda L. King of Beloit, Kansas passed away Sunday, February 18, 2024. She was born March 11, 1929 to Lloyd and Amanda Franz Speer.

Wanda was preceded in death by husbands Dale Mead, Gerald Long, and Charles King. She held various jobs besides homemaker including farming, bank teller, day care business in her home, worked at a Dairy Queen, owned and operated Beloit Bowl with her husband Charles King, and house cleaning positions at Mainliner Motel and Hilltop Lodge Health and Rehabilitation.

Wanda is survived by sons Rex (Linda) Mead of Garden City and Arlyn Mead of Beloit, sister Lavona (Jerry) Perkins of Blue Springs, Missouri, 17 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by sons Leland Mead, Dennis Mead, Larry Mead, daughters Sharon Thomas and Susan Schindler, her parents, eight brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in Beloit Kansas. Inurnment will follow at the Glenwood Cemetery in Glen Elder Kansas. Memorials may be made to Solomon Valley Hospice in care of Schoen Funeral Home And Monuments, 302 Hersey Ave, Beloit Kansas.
