Dale Prochaska Obituary

Dale Keith “Smiley” Prochaska was born October 24, 1945 in Concordia, KS the son of Henry and Dorothy Prochaska. He died on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at the age of 77. He grew up in Cloud County area, where he attended school at Simpson. Following high school he attended McPherson college where he played football. After graduation Dale returned to the farm in cloud county and farmed for his father. Then he bought his own farm where he resided until his death.

Dale was united in marriage on August 27th 1983 to Nora Powers Mosher. He became a step father to Chris, Adam and Gary Mosher. He enjoyed working on the farm and wood- working. Through the years, he enjoyed following the activities of their children and grandchildren and was always very supportive.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Henrietta Brunnemer.

Dale is survived by his wife Nora of the home. Daughter Christine (Fred) Emporia, Son’s Adam (Jodi) Beloit and Gary (Sarah) Castle Rock, CO; Brothers Ivan (Gloria) Prochaska Beloit, Don ( Kathy) Prochaska Glasco, Kent Prochaska Glasco, Brother-in-law J.D. Brunner Plainville; Sisters Avis (Marvin) Henning Jamestown, Gwen Boudreaux Beloit; Grandchildren John (Sabrina) Mosher Glen Elder, Jared Mosher Dodge City, Jeremy Mosher Beloit, Jayden Mosher Beloit, Alexander Mosher Castle Rock, Ryker Mosher Castle Rock, Rachel Jones Emporia, Tabitha Tatmen Eldorado; Great grandchildren Everleigh, Maverick, Nash, Owen Glen Elder.

Dale requested a celebration of life which his family will honor at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home to help with final expenses. In care of Schoen Funeral Home and Monuments 302 N. Hersey Ave. Beloit, KS 67420.
